This article is about how to put an item (any type of gadget) above the Title section in a blog made with Google Blogger. that mean how to create a custom header
most of all Blogger's templates start out with a nav-bar at the top of the screen, followed by a Header section showing your blogs title & description, or a custom header image if you've uploaded one.
- Go To Blogger Dashboard >Template >Edit HTML.(before edit backup your template)
- Find this code in your template
Hint: use your browser's search tool, (Edit>Find in Firefox, Ctrl + f in Chrome) to look for a key phrase like "id='Header1'
- the element highlighted in bold need to be changed
- Change maxwidgets='1' to at least 2 in order to be able to add another element in the header section.if you wand to add more then one you can replace any number to maxwidgets and get as you wish
- Alter showaddelement='no' to showaddelement='yes' to be able to add a different element to the header section (your new gadget)
- Replace locked='true' with locked='false' so that you can later remove the old header.
Now save your template, and go back to the layouts section in your dashboard. You'll notice that you can now add another element to your blog header!
- Now go to Blogger Dashboard >layout you'll see
on your header layout - You are Done
I tried my best to make this tutorial as simple as possible to understand
